Community Roadwatch Speed Enforcement

Community Roadwatch Speed Enforcement

Good Afternoon,

We wanted to share our community roadwatch speed enforcement results with you which we conducted this afternoon, Wednesday 14th October 2026.

We conducted speed enforcement on Newlands Road, Lancaster.

We captured 24 vehicles exceeding the speed limit in a one hour period. All of which were travelling 6mph and above the legal speed limit.  The driver of one vehicle in particular was driving at over double the speed limit.

Thank you to all the drivers who were driving within the safe speed limit for the road.

May I remind those drivers who were not adhering to the speed limits that there are two local primary schools within a stone's throw of our speed enforcement location. One of those school's is Lancaster's largest primary school.  Driving at excess speed's in this location or any other area is extremely dangerous.

We will continue to conduct this activity to keep members of the public and local residents safe.
